Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande e The Weeknd foram os destaques da cerimônia
E ontem ocorreu o comeback das grandes premiações. Os eventos foram cancelados no decorrer da pandemia do novo coronavírus, mas o Video Music Awards, da MTV, foi realizado tomando todas as medidas de segurança.
O VMA é uma das maiores premiações musicais e tem o objetivo de homenagear e enaltecer os melhores videoclipes do ano. A cerimônia de lançamento do prêmio foi em setembro de 1984 e até hoje vem nomeando inúmeros artistas da atualidade.
A última edição aconteceu na noite deste domingo (30), em Nova Iorque, nos Estados Unidos e teve a belíssima Keke Palmer como anfitriã. O modelo foi um pouco diferente dos outros anos e contou com performances em diversos pontos da cidade, incluindo um drive-in.
Lady Gaga e Ariana grande foram as duas mais nomeadas da noite, com um total de nove indicações cada. As cantoras ainda performaram “Rain On Me”, seu mais novo feat. Com seus looks excêntricos, Gaga foi destaque, levando cinco astronautas para casa, incluindo o Prêmio MTV Trícone, que foi renomeado do antigo Prêmio Michael Jackson Vanguard.
O cantor The Weeknd também chamou atenção na noite. Além de uma apresentação incrível, onde ele cantou Blinding Lights em uma plataforma a 335 metros à cima de Mahattan, o canadense tamém levou um dos principais prêmios da noite na categoria Clipe do Ano, por “Blinding Lights”.
A cerimônia também contou com performances de Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Maluma, BTS, Black Eyed Peas entre outros. Confira os vencedores dessa edição:
